Public Profile Information

Michael is a technology leader in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, and IT Architecture. He brings years of hands-on experience in data enablement and software development.

His passion for Microsoft technologies runs deep, earning him certification as a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (Web, Windows, Distributed) and Microsoft Certified Professional for Enterprise Applications.

Personal Life and Hobby

Michael cycles and runs to stay active after hours. For fun, he plays Roblox, Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 with his son.

He loves to travel. New cultures, traditions, and cuisines never stop fascinating him.

Music runs deep too โ€” classical, alt-rock, and icons like the Bee Gees, Scorpions, and Oasis. Heโ€™s also a fan of boyband classics: Boyzone, Backstreet Boys, Westlife, MLTR, and The Moffats.

Professional Life

Michael works at ร˜rsted A/S, a global green energy leader based in Denmark. He leads architecture for a Data team that enables SCADA data for Advanced Analytics.

He designs the application landscape, drives key architecture decisions, and aligns with Solution Managers and fellow architects. He leads research and proof-of-concept work as a front-line innovator.

Beyond architecture, he stays hands-on โ€” building and implementing solutions himself.

IT Architecture

Michaelโ€™s architecture career began in 2018, when he relocated to Denmark. Working alongside architects from across the globe gave him a broad, cross-cultural perspective.

His vision: robust, reliable, reusable, and simple solutions. His principle: prove it before you invest.

He owns Technical and Application Architecture for a vertical slice of the organization. He also operates as a Solution Architect, holding the horizontal, big-picture view.

His personal open-source project reflects this philosophy. Envisioned in 2018, it demanded deep design thinking to stay extensible and adaptable. That thinking is now paying off, as the project matures into something built for the future.

Software Engineering

Michael has built and productionized enterprise systems across numerous projects. He led a large team delivering a CRM solution for a leading ERP company.

SOLID, DRY, and Clean Code arenโ€™t just principles to him โ€” theyโ€™re standards he architects by.

Anders Hejlsberg, creator of C#, has long been an inspiration. Michael met him in Denmark at a talk on TypeScript.

Data Engineering

Michaelโ€™s data journey started in 2006 and continues today. That depth of experience makes him a formidable Data Engineer.

He brought his software engineering discipline into Python, establishing cleaner, leaner coding standards.

Fast, efficient data pipelines are his passion. He dives into low-level implementation, blending custom builds with market-leading tools for maximum performance.

Artificial Intelligence

Michael began exploring AI in 2026, working extensively with Claude (Fable 5, Sonnet 5.x, Haiku 4.x, Opus 4.x) and ChatGPT (GPT-5).

Heโ€™s building a local setup to run open models like Llama, Gemini, and DeepSeek โ€” and is eager to try Grok once itโ€™s publicly available.

Claude is his go-to partner for personal projects. Copilot supports his work. ChatGPT rounds out his personal use.

Heโ€™s focused on building AI skills across domains, and bringing that expertise into his OSS project to keep it ahead of the curve.
